Seven Ways To Use Crystals Every Day

Ever wonder how to incorporate crystals into your daily routine? Here are some quick and easy ways to use precious gemstones (and harness their super powers!) any day of the week.

1. TAKE A BATH FIT FOR A GODDESS.

Draw a warm bath, add oils, coconut milk, and drop a crystal of your choice into the water to soak with you. It's believed that the crystal's metaphysical properties will infuse the bathwater with its specific healing vibes. The most popular bathing crystals are definitely rose quartz and amethyst, but a number of others, including citrine and bloodstone, are also great!

Try a Crystal Bath Ball from Intention Botanicals. Each one is designed with essential oils and botanicals to complement the energy of the stone its studded with and infuse your bathwater with both plant-based and gemstone-drawn benefit. They also are crafted with dried botanicals and will add a really pretty petal-strewn look to your bath.

It's important to note that not all crystals are suitable for use in this way. Certain crystals are sensitive to water and may break down (a general rule of thumb is to avoid anything ending in -ite) and there are also certain crystals that may release natural, yet unwanted materials into the water, like metals. Hibiscus Moon has a great quick list to reference: Toxic Crystals and Stones. (Don't toss the turquoise though, there are other, safe ways to use it listed below!)

2. USE IT AS AN INTENTION STONE.

Pick a stone with a vibe that jives with your intention. Looking to be more mindful of the joy in your life? Citrine is a great bet. Intention involving self love? Rose quartz is your go-to. Want to connect more with your intuition? Amethyst is a classic. Hold the stone or keep nearby during your meditation or while you set your intention, then wear it or carry it a handbag or your pocket for the day--each time you see or feel it, you'll be reminded of your intention.

This is a great way to use the stone left over from your Crystal Bath Ball.

3. GIVE (OR GET!) A MASSAGE WITH A CRYSTAL WAND.

Crystal massage wands have a smoothed end that's perfect for digging into tired and stiff muscles. Apply a little bit of oil or body butter and work the wand along the length of each muscle.

4. WEAR IT.

Probably obvious, but wearing a healing stone in a necklace or ring will impart its powers all day long. It's also easy to make your own stone pendants (to keep right next to your heart!) with a bit of jewelry wire and a chain.

5. ADD THEM TO YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE.

There are so many ways you can take advantage of crystals during the routines you already do. Try using a gemstone roller after applying face oil or serum to massage and help the product penetrate, or find products that use gemstones right in the recipe. There are a number of face scrubs on the market that use micronized crystals as the exfoliant to help slough off and remove dead skin cells and reveal a bright, radiant complexion.

6. SLEEP WITH THEM UNDER YOUR PILLOW.

When you're not giving them an energy-cleansing moonbath, let your crystals work their magic by keeping them close all night long. Let us know if you have extra sweet dreams!

7. INCORPORATE THEM IN DECOR.

Crystals add a beautiful touch to any room and make for some pretty high-vibe decor. Try your favorite in a pretty dish on a coffee or bedside table, or go for a dramatic piece like agate bookends. You can also purchase beautiful brass or lucite holders that showcase especially gorgeous, collector-worthy rocks.
